This site is an informational guide describing some of the issues surrounding patents in the 21st century. It focuses on patents for emerging technologies, but I understand there are other issues tangled in this huge, few hundred years old, mess. I have attempted to include further readings and research papers if you’d like to go deeper.

The main purpose behind choosing patents is to help you, as an average consumer, understand how deeply intertwined this issue is to your life. And how your costs are not being adequately represented.

I do not discuss too many specific issues or solutions. This site focuses more on the underlying foundation and theory. However, in the media section there are a number of great articles that delve significantly deeper into these issues.
